Fins and Feathers Fishing Report: Gallatin River – Mon, Nov 4th

The Gallatin is still fishing well, and afternoon is best now with water temps getting colder. The canyon is a good place to get out of the Fins and Featherswind when it’s blowing too hard in the valley or other rivers. Baetis and midges are coming off and fish have been rising during the afternoon. Streamer fishing has been good in the valley stretches with browns now spawning. Nymphing with eggs, baetis, stonefly and midge larva patterns are all working well now.
